We dined here for the first time, and wow! Our server was excellent - He had bushy curly hair and was tall and very humorous and knowledgeable about the menu. Sadly, we didn’t catch his name. Our food was superb! We had the short ribs and the Galbi with tofu - wow! We will be back! Everyone there was friendly and everyone helps each other with the service.

I’m so happy they opened Matjoa Korean BBQ closer to our home. As a Korean, I’m always chasing authentic Korean flavors, but also quality ingredients and meats, and this place really delivers on both. They have all of my favorites, and everything we’ve tried has been consistently delicious. My kids ask to come all the time! A lot of Korean restaurants can get one thing right but miss the mark somewhere else, but Matjoa feels like the full package. The flavors taste authentic, the meats are high quality, and the overall experience is just really solid. You can tell care goes into the food. Definitely one of the better Korean spots in the area!

I recently visited Matjoa House Korean BBQ and had a mixed experience. The service was particularly friendly, and the staff were attentive throughout my meal. However, there was a notable oversight regarding food allergies, as I was not asked about any prior to the meal being served. I had to return the plate because it contained shrimp, which I am allergic to. Additionally, I found the meat selection to be fattier than I expected, which detracted from the overall freshness of the meal. The rice was also served late, and while it complemented the dishes, it felt like an afterthought rather than a coordinated part of the meal. The dessert options left much to be desired as well; the ice cream was stored in a broken freezer, which made it difficult to see what was available, requiring the server to use his phone light to illuminate the choices. While the venue was clean, it appeared a bit run down, and I didn't get a chance to see the bathrooms or kitchen. Overall, although the service was warm and welcoming, my dining experience at Matjoa House Korean BBQ did not meet my expectations, and I probably wouldn't choose to return, given that I've had better experiences at other establis

It is so great to have this restaurant right in our neighborhood. We loved it when it was in Clearwater! Their table barbecue is very authentic and on this occasion we ordered off of the kitchen menu and loved the Pork Tangsooyook, Beef Bulgogi and the Tofu Fried Rice. All very flavorful and in generous proportion. We had great service from Julian and the owner, Joe, made us feel right at home. Wonderful experience!

I've been to 5 different Korean BBQ places around Tampa FL and this is the best and the customer service is 10/10. The meat is well marinated and tender. All you can eat includes 2 beers per person. Comes with miso soup and a bunch of stuff. First time here. We had a Caucasian gentleman that also spoke Korean and he waited on us like we were Royalty. Definitely worth my 30+% tip. Great atmosphere and a bit of soft music in the background. I will be back !!!! After I lose this weight 💯🤣 after eating soo much! Thank you sir 🙏🙏🙏
